Fairhope’s creative landscape is about to bloom with the grand opening of Embellish, a one-of-a-kind boutique specializing in custom personalized apparel and gifts, crafting supplies and equipment, and creative hands-on workshops.
From offering services such as corporate and personal branding with embroidery, vinyl, silk screen, sublimation and laser engraving to helping you learn whatever DIY craft you have been wanting to try, this boutique is more than a retail space, it’s a hub for creativity, learning, and community connection.
Embellish is the passion project of Michelle Thomason, who brings her love for design and her deep community roots to this new venture. “This shop is a dream realized. It is a space where creativity meets community - a place where we hope everyone feels welcome to come explore their own creative side, whether you are just learning or want to move to the next level,” says Thomason.
A concept like no other, Embellish caters to our local community and beyond – to business owners of every size, schools, sports teams, teachers, craft enthusiasts, event planners, and more – offering custom branding, unique gifts, and personalized apparel. In keeping with her love for the community in which she has lived for 33 years, Michelle has brought local items such as honey, coffee, sauces, soap and bakery items to Embellish shelves as well. In addition to retail, there are fun hands-on activities in the shop, such as a trucker hat bar where patrons can make and take home their own personally designed hats and koozies, as well as a permanent jewelry station offering off-site parties and pop-ups. Embellish will also host DIY workshops, as well as provide personal assistance and instruction to its patrons for all of the crafts and services the shop has to offer. An authorized Brother retailer, and the only Brother machine realtor in Baldwin County, Embellish sports an impressive showroom of embroidery and sewing machines, from beginner hobbyist models to commercial applications. We also carry a full line of supplies for all the crafts we teach and services we provide. As an added bonus, each purchase of an embroidery machine comes with three hours of private instruction, something you won’t find elsewhere.
“Whether you're needing a bulk t-shirt order or creating a custom one-of-a-kind apparel design, whether you need to purchase a unique personalized gift or need to purchase supplies or equipment to create your own, or if you are looking to learn something new and want to join one of our make-and-take workshops, we want everyone that visits Embellish to feel inspired and part of something special,” Thomason adds.
Its perfect location on County Road 13 just south of Gayfer Avenue is very accessible from all surrounding areas, in keeping with the business’ model of community connection.
